An oil spill was reported Thursday morning on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Central Massachusetts, according to officials.
Firefighters were working shortly before 6 a.m. at the scene of a spill of roughly 100 gallons of diesel fuel in Westborough, the town’s fire department tweeted.
The spill occurred in the westbound lanes of the Pike near the service plaza in Westborough around 4:30 a.m., according to the department’s tweet.
“Use caution in the area,” the department said in its tweet.
It is unclear how the spill impacted traffic Thursday morning.
