PLEASANTON (CBS SF) — Crews are still working to clear the scene of an injury accident and fuel spill in Pleasanton that shut down westbound lanes of I-580 for hours Friday , according to authorities.
The crash was first reported on westbound I-580 east of Santa Rita Road at around 10 a.m. Friday morning.

There were reports that motorcycles may have been involved in the crash.
Shortly after 4 p.m., CHP officials said all westbound lanes of I-580 had reopened.

However, about 15 minutes later the 511.org Twitter account posted a correction that the left and center lanes were still blocked.

The center lanes were reopened to traffic by about 5:30 p.m., but authorities said the left lanes remained closed.

Authorities were also reporting eastbound delays on I-580 due to an accident at Portola Avenue in Livermore.
