When it comes to my skincare routine, there’s one type of product that is a more recent addition, but has quickly become the one I never skip. My skin is typically on the dry side, thanks in large part to the desert-like climate of Los Angeles, but becomes super dehydrated and flaky during the cool winter months. That’s why I’ve turned to face and body oils. While there are some I definitely love, I’m always on the lookout for a new one to incorporate into my regimen. The latest one to pique my interest? Bliss of Greece Ancient Greek Remedy Organic Face and Body Oil.
What really intrigues me about this Ancient Greek Remedy Oil is the fact that it can be used basically anywhere you’re experiencing dryness. It’s made for your face, of course, but can also be used on hair, body, hands, cuticles, and even your nails. Why wouldn’t I want to try an oil that can nourish me from head to toe? It’s formulated with a mix of good-for-the-skin oils, including olive, sweet almond, grapeseed, vitamin E, and lavender. All of the oils are 100 percent cold pressed, which means the oils retain their natural nutrients after being pressed right from their seeds. The brand promises that the formula, which is also vegan, non-GMO, and free of parabens and preservatives, is safe for all skin types, too.
As someone who is obsessed with cuticle oil, I definitely can’t wait to rub this into my peeling cuticles and nail beds. But I also want to try it on my hair and scalp (it promises to make hair feel softer and rejuvenate frizzy hair and split ends), on my ashy legs after a shower, and on my face, of course. Best yet, the four-ounce bottle is on sale for $15.
As if I actually even needed more convincing, I headed to the reviews to see what people thought of this oil, too. There were plenty to choose from, since this oil has an incredible 28,000 five-star ratings and ranks eighth on Amazon’s body oils best sellers list. I was especially interested in reviews by people with more mature skin since I’m always looking for ways to keep my skin looking youthful). Multiple shoppers said their friends and family routinely tell them they look 10 years younger thanks to the oil, which definitely made me sit up and take notice. “Family and friends tell me that my skin looks luminous,” said one shopper. A 58-year-old shopper who’s used it for three years said it makes their whole body “feel so much better,” and a 67-year-old shopper said they’ve received tons of compliments on how “healthy and smooth” their skin looks.
When it comes to how the oil works, that’s got raves, too. A 57-year-old grandma said it keeps everything from their face to their cuticles “soft, silky, and glowing,” while a 61-year-old shopper likes that it gives “a dewy glow all day” even underneath moisturizer. Other shoppers in their 50s and 60s said “ever-present forehead wrinkles are almost gone” and that it “absorbs quickly with no stickiness.”
Honestly, I find it impossible not to buy this Bliss of Greece Ancient Greek Remedy Organic Face and Body Oil immediately after reading so many glowing reviews of how people’s skin is, well, glowing. Head to Amazon and pick up a bottle for yourself while it’s on sale for $15.
