Najib's SRC trial postponed Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak's trial on corruption charges relating to SRC International Sdn Bhd was postponed after a stay was granted by the Court of Appeal. Lawyer Haniff Khatri Abdulla criticised the prosecution's handling of Najib's case, which resulted in the postponement of the trial. Three other graft charges against Najib, also involving SRC International, were transferred from the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court to the High Court. Najib's daughter Nooryana Najwa appealed for public support for her father, who she described as the government's strongest critic. Police confirmed that the Attorney-General's Chambers has dropped the case against lawyer Siti Kasim, who had allegedly shown her middle finger at a public forum. Hurdles to Semenyih by-election A voter f iled a suit against the Election Commission in a bid to postpone the upcoming Semenyih by-election. Former Election Commission deputy chairperson Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said the Semenyih by-election should be postponed due to the EC still not having a complete line-up of commissioners. The feud between Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) and AirAsia intensified with the airport operator accusing the budget airliner of making false statements about it. AirAsia responded by saying that MAHB was using legal threats to stifle and suppress fair comment.
