Investing.com - Harga minyak balik menguat pada Rabu (18/03) pagi setelah sempat jatuh ke level terendah dalam empat tahun. Pelemahan minyak terjadi akibat kekhawatiran atas permintaan bahan bakar dan perekonomian global di tengah pembatasan perjalanan dan tindakan penguncian sosial yang dipicu oleh penyebaran epidemi virus covid-19 di sejumlah negara di seluruh dunia.

Minyak mentah naik 0,94% di $29,00 per barel pada pukul 09.35 WIB Rabu (18/03) pagi menurut data Investing.com, setelah sebelumnya jatuh di $28,40, titik terendah sejak awal 2016. Minyak acuan internasional ini anjlok 4,3% pada hari Selasa.

Minyak mentah AS menguat 0,51% di $27,47 per barel setelah sempat jatuh ke level $ 26,20, juga terendah dalam empat tahun. Minyak WTI ini anjlok 6% pada hari Selasa.

Penurunan persediaan minyak mentah, bensin, dan sulingan di AS, seperti yang dilaporkan oleh kelompok industri menurut Reuters Rabu (18/03) pagi, memberikan beberapa dukungan terhadap harga minyak. Tetapi prospek permintaan tetap suram di tengah perang harga antar negara produsen utama.
