Investing.com - Harga minyak terus melonjak hingga lebih dari 4%, naik dari posisi terendah multi tahun yang dicapai sebelumnya Senin (02/03) di tengah harapan penurunan produksi yang lebih besar dari OPEC dan kebijakan stimulus bank sentral global menghadapi kekhawatiran dari dampak kerusakan pada permintaan akibat mewabahnya virus covid-19.

Menurut laporan yang dilansir Reuters Senin (02/03) petang, minyak mentah berada di $51,91 per barel, melonjak $2,24 atau sebesar 4,5%, pada pukui 08.12 GMT, menjauh dari $48,40, level terendah sejak Juli 2017.

Di seberang Atlantik, minyak mentah AS mencapai titik terendah 14 bulan $43,32, sebelum kembali pulih ke $46,65, melonjak $1,89, atau sebesar 4,2%.

Kedua tolok ukur minyak tersebut menandai kenaikan pertamanya setelah enam sesi menderita kerugian di tengah kekhawatiran virus. Virus covid-19, yang disinyalir berasal dari Cina, telah menewaskan hampir 3.000 orang dan mengguncang pasar global di tengah persiapan investor menghadapi perlambatan pertumbuhan dunia.
